I, like many other Australians living in regional areas, have a deep nostalgia for the TV networks Prime7 and GWN7. These channels were more than just sources of entertainment; they were integral parts of our community, providing local news and stories that resonated with us. However, these beloved channels are now under the control of Seven West Media.

Prime7 and GWN7 once served as vital platforms for regional voices. Their loss has not only impacted our sense of community but also reduced the diversity in media content available to us. According to a report by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), local content on television is crucial for regional identity (ACMA 2019).

We urge Seven West Media to return Prime7 and GWN7 back to their original mandate - serving regional Australia with quality local content that reflects our unique communities. By doing so, we can restore a piece of our shared history while ensuring diverse media representation for future generations.
