My name is Leanny Ortiz-Blanco, a senior track & field athlete at Salem High School. On February 8, 2026, I competed in the Division I State Championship, won the finals, broke the state record, and was awarded my State Champion medal.

After the competition, I was disqualified for allegations that I know are false. Video evidence shows no misconduct occurred, yet I was not allowed to defend myself.

I am respectfully requesting that the NHIAA conduct a transparent review of this decision, including all available evidence. Every athlete deserves a fair and accountable process, and I ask supporters to stand with me in calling for fairness and integrity in high school athletics.
