The tale of Salvation and his brutalities committed upon the Thargoid alien race came to a close with the triggering of the Proteus Wave device. An act that almost led to the complete extermination of the Thargoids, shattering the harmony of HIP 22460, one of our cherished lore sites. However, the Thargoids managed to reverse engineer the weapon, used it against humanity thus devastating our numbers, and revived their fallen kin in the process. These events have left an indelible mark, a reminder of humankind's regrettable actions and the retaliation we triggered.

This dual-sided devastation needs to be remembered, not tarnished or erased. The rampant destruction of heritage-rich locations in the game, such as HIP 22460, by individual player-groups diminishes the rich narrative fabric of Elite Dangerous. We call upon the game developers to restore HIP 22460 to its former state, where the shades of the past play out, and to implement measures that prevent the destruction of such historic lore sites in the future.
