In New York, more than $120 million dollars in cuts to the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities are set to take place. These cuts would have a direct impact on not-for-profit providers who provided critical services to those in need. Placing the burden of these financial cuts solely on people with developmental disabilities is not a balanced approach that should be undertaken.   

If these cuts go through, staff layoffs and services would be negatively affected. We cannot allow the budget to be balanced on the backs of people with developmental disabilities. Please join me in urging the Governor and our state legislative leaders to work together to restore this vital funding.
