We were deceived by Brexiteers and sections of the UK press regarding Brexit's supposed benefits. The only ones who benefited are those rich and powerful individuals who misled most UK voters into voting against their own best interests.

They told us;

The EU needed us more than we needed them.

We’ll get great new trade deals around the world.

It wouldn’t change our access to EU or cause travel problems.

Food would be cheaper from Day 1

It would get rid of EU red tape

We would have control of our borders and reduce immigration.

The £350 per week they said we paid to EU could fund better NHS

We’d be rule makers not rule takers.

 

What we got:

Most new trade deals are copies of deals we had as EU member.

Australia, New Zealand and Japan deals favour the other party.

Food prices have increased.

Business’ struggling with all the extra red tape that was not required as a member state.

New Brexit border will cost £4.8 Billion and increase costs for business to trade with EU.

We have to follow the rules of all our trading partners, in the EU we were part of making those rules.

We are no longer rule makers, but relegated to rule takers.

Immigration has increased and we can’t control our borders.

We lost our freedom of movement.

The NHS and other public services are at breaking point.

We will pay the EU £18.9 Billion between 2021 – 2028 and £5.1 Billion until 2064.

We want our Freedom of Movement back! Let's make the will of the people clear and unambiguous! We need a supermajority of people to sign this petition and send a clear message to the next Government. 17,410,742 voted to leave the EU. The total Electorate for the 2016 referendum was 46,501241.

Let's get this petition to 26 million.  Something the next Government can't ignore. We need the next UK Government working for all UK citizens, not just the rich and powerful.
