After two years of Marriott Beachside Management repeatedly calling and lying to KWPD that Dinghy Beach goers were "Trespassing" on "their" (Marriott) property, the KWPD, has finally stopped being used as Marriott Management/Robert Spottswood's personal goons. KWPD LT Haley, upon receiving credible information concerning the property dispute by both a civilian and City official, stated "the KWPD officers are being instructed the property is in dispute and will, until further notice, no longer arrest or issue warning of 'Trespassing on Marriott Beachside property' to anyone using Dinghy Beach" if Marriott Beachside management or anyone else asks them to do so.

For two years, the KWPD had received complaints in the matter and repeatedly had to call City Atty Smith to clarify the property was not as Marriott Management/Robert Spottswood claimed - "all theirs". Finally, someone listened! A shout out to KWPD LT Haley for doing the due diligence required and making sure his officers are informed about the issue should Marriott Beachside Management call and try to lie to the KWPD again concerning "Trespassing on 'their property' Dinghy Beach".

But- It's not over yet! The fence is still up blocking access to the beach and the City needs to hear from you it needs to come down!
