As an alumnus of Temple University, it breaks my heart to see the state of the football program. Years ago, the Owls were competitive, TempleTuff, and a source of pride for the students and the city of Philadelphia. Today, the team is unrecognizable. Attendance at games has plummeted due to the team's poor performances, making Temple's football program one of the least supported nationwide. 

The situation has worsened under the leadership of the current head coach. Last season's results included statistics that placed Temple as the worst team in the country. Despite the glaring problems, Head Coach Drayton made no significant changes to his coordinators, further indication that a leadership change is essential. We are currently the worst offense in our conference and 118th overall in the country. The defense is 101st overall. This is Drayton's 3rd year as head coach. 

It is time we take steps to save Temple Football, starting with dismissing the current head coach who has shown inability to control the situation. We believe that with the right leadership, our team can regain its former competitive nature and become a cornerstone of university pride.
