511WI dropped "ice" labels from its app 2 days before an icing event in Wisconsin, and in the short period since, 3 additional icing events have occurred. Current labeling is unactionable and uninformative, leaving drivers without good, life-saving details about winter road conditions. We, the undersigned Wisconsin residents, recommend the following key be instituted immediately: "Good driving," "Some snow," "Snow covered," "Icy" and "Dangerous travel." These labels would provide motorists with good information that will lead to better decision-making.
