20 people have put down their hard earned cash to promote Change on Vancouver Island! The numbers are rising as fast as the exposure on Change org brings, but to bring about the Restoration of the railway we need grass roots exposure.

For now, save your cash! Share it directly by forwarding this email to people you know care about Vancouver Island. Those shares will bring the greatest gains at this point.  Add a note to the top of the email to tell them why it's important to you.  I know why it's important to me, i have teen age kids and our highways are fraught with collisions causing casualties and permanent injuries, 6571 per year out of the total 38,670 collisions per year.

We need to use what we have, and save the rails as rails for tomorrow and into the future as we age, and our children try to save to afford what has become a luxury in our society, owning a home.

It's a busy graphic I know, but take the time to explore it.

With 26.2% of residents over 65 years of age in 2024 (according to VIEA), 1 million residents by 2030 (according to the Government), and Seaspan operations from Vancouver's Annacis Island to the Wellcox Yard in Nanaimo for freight, we can’t afford to kick the can down the road anymore. We need to Restore Island Rail.

Connecting every major city and town between Comox/Courtenay and Port Alberni to Parksville, Nanaimo, Duncan, Langford, and Victoria today, and the limitless possibilities for tomorrow that lead all the way up island and to Sooke, and even up Saanich way, this should be a no-brainer to start working on today.

We have a "car brained" society convinced they "love their cars" when in fact, we don't really, well I suppose some do. But without affordable and comfortable alternatives, we are forced to.

Buses keep failing because they are not designated as an essential service, and private services will leave if it's not profitable enough.... enough is enough.

Restore Island Rail.
