🔴 SPEKE COMPREHENSIVE: THE BLACK-AND-WHITE PROOF OF THE BROKEN PROMISE CAUGHT IN THE COUNCIL’S OWN LOG BOOKS! 🔴For years, our community has remembered being promised a replacement park when they knocked down the Comp and sold our 14-acre central park to Morrisons. The council thought we’d forgotten because it wasn't easily found online. But we’ve dug directly into the official planning archives, and we have caught them red-handed. Look at the council's own planning records for our estate:📁 Reference: 00DC/2001 (Stapleton Avenue site): Legally approved in black and white: 'To provide and layout a new neighbourhood park.'📁 Reference: 00DC/2002 (Central Avenue site): Recorded: 'To lay out sports pitches following demolition of school.'They officially approved our park and sports fields decades ago, broke their own legal conditions, and later sold the Central Avenue land for private housing foundations instead leaving our 4,000 kids with absolutely zero municipal parks.You can check the official listings for yourself on the Landcycle Archive here: landcycle.com
The council legally owes our kids this park, and we are drawing a line in the sand to collect the debt. Please come to the upcoming SLH community meetings to stand with us, and fight for our rights. Planned meetings
