Respect the nudist beach of Costa Natura in Estepona

The Costa Natura beach in Estepona was the first naturist beach recognized as such in Spain by Government Decree in 1979. Since then naturists have continued to use this beach which has become a historical tradition. Through the years Estepona Townhall has shown it’s support on numerous occasions, the last in 2020 when it recognized the unique contribution of Costa Natura to the tourism development of Estepona, in contributing to the rise of Estepona as a tourist destination.
Recently, a beach bar, Nido, has been built on Costa Natura Beach, which is altering this naturist haven, since it does not allow nudists to use its sunbeds, despite being located on a public historical naturist beach. They have occupied a very large area with their parasols and sunbeds on the beach, which is limiting the possibility of practicing nudism on this beach.
Since nudists started using Costa Natura beach in the 70’s there has always been a friendly and peaceful coexistence between the nudist beach goes on the eastern side of Arroyo de Enmedio river (on Playa Costa Natura) and the textile bathers (on Playa de Arroyo Vaquero) on the west side of the river.
THEREFORE WE REQUEST THAT THE NUDIST CHARACTER OF THE COSTA NATURA BEACH IS RESPECTED. That nudists are of course allowed to use Costa Natura beach and that Nido accepts nudists on their beach sunbeds and that Nido’s granted area of sunbeds and parasols is reduced.
