This Saturday 8/11- learn how to legalize from an expert
We've been talking about how to get tiny homes legalized in San Diego for over a year. Sending out a BIG thanks to all of you who have signed this petition and helped in other ways! I'm thrilled to announce Dan Fitzpatrick, an expert in successful tiny home legalizing efforts, is coming to San Diego this Saturday, August 11th.
I hope you will join us for some good food and drink at Torque Moto Cafe in North Park.
Here's the schedule:
2-3pm - Meet and socialize with Dan and other Tiny House Enthusiasts.
3-4pm - For those that are interested, the American Tiny House Association will hold a workshop. I have five free comps, first five people to email me at ellen@tinyhomecentral.net, get them! Otherwise, the workshop is $10 and helps him cover his travel expenses: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/workshop-with-dan-fitzpatrick-legalize-tiny-living-in-san-diego-tickets-48314205088?aff=efbevent
A little about Dan Fitzpatrick:
Dan is the author of the tiny home ordinance in Fresno and the California Chapter Leader of the American Tiny House Association. He has made presentations to municipalities throughout the state of California on the opportunities for tiny houses and moveable tiny houses as a means to meet the need for affordable and sustainable housing. Mr. Fitzpatrick has over 40 years of broad executive-level management and administrative leadership experience in both public and private sector organizations. Because of his government and developer experience, he has been working with local governments to amend their development codes to permit moveable tiny houses as ADUs.
Dan has served in the public sector as the:
• Director, Redevelopment Agency of the City of Fresno
• Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the County of Fresno
• Assistant City Manager and Assistant County Administrator in Clark County, Las Vegas
We look forward to seeing you there!
