Per previous notices - It is imperative that everyone come out and voice their opposition TONIGHT -- (May 7th) please come to Lawrence Woodmere Academy at 7 pm. This is our opportunity to have our voices heard, and it is incumbent on us to have a strong turnout. We need the whole community's support. Two of our elected officials, Councilmen D’Esposito and Blakeman proposed a resolution to change the current zoning of the golf course which will still allow for significant development of the 110 acre Woodmere Club. This resolution was prepared without notifying the community or sharing the results of the Cameron engineering studies commissioned by the Town of Hempstead last year (paid for by your tax dollars) and the basis for the extension of the moratorium. To try and obtain public awareness, Councilmen Blakeman and D’Esposito will be hosting an information session/workshop at the Lawrence Woodmere Academy - 336 Woodmere Blvd, Woodmere at 7 pm where the consultants will give residents “an opportunity to directly address the consultants about any questions they may have about the proposed legislation”.
