I’ve grown up in New Providence from 1970 and graduated from high school in 1979. I remember when Murray Hill used to have it’s own zip code and I still think it should because the area around Mountain Ave, Diamond Hill Road & South Street is considered the Murray Hill Area. That whole area feels like the Murray Hill district of New Providence. And there are names that have Murray Hill, such as Murray Hill Apartments, Murray Hill Train Station, Murray Hill Tennis & Fitness, Foley Square at Murray Hill. Plus other Towns have other zip codes such as Short Hills & Millburn, In Long Hill there’s Gillette, Stirling and Millington, In The Township of Union there’s an area named Vauxhall with its own zip code. So these are reasons why I feel Murray Hill should have it’s own zip code again.
