Our Voice - Residents @ Hazelwood Binfield, Berkshire UK

The Issue

The residents of Morshead Drive, Buchanan Way and Kinnersley Walk (Binfield) wish to be heard by Bracknell Forest Council, Croudace Homes and HML.

We have up kept our maintenance payments without sufficient results, we are asking to be heard by parties above.

This has now been escalated by all residents, due to the recent letter received from Croudace Homes, notifying us of landscape changes to the front of our homes.

Many of us have made changes to our gardens because no maintenance has been carried out in the last two years to these areas, resulting in dead plants, nettles and weeds. We take pride in our homes and have landscaped these front gardens at our own expense and these areas are now low maintenance - they still remain gardens just with different designs and foliage.

Since changes started to take place by residents, no form of letter or communication was received advising us we could not do this. We allowed sufficient time to pass (2 years) before these changes were made after many residents contacted both Croudace and HML to advise they were not receiving the gardening works required. Prior to these changes no garden works were provided to rectify these areas. Gardens need maintenance all seasons - we have not received this.

Croudace state that they can not pass the estate to Bracknell Forest Council without these changes. We DO want to be passed over to Bracknell Forest Council, but we don't want our beautiful gardens removed to have this area replaced with dead foliage, weeds and stinging nettles again. We have maintained the garden at the front of our home and are happy to continue to do so at our own expense, as we take pride in our area and we believe that this looks better than what was originally planted.

We agree there are some areas that do need gardening works  and these areas are evident by all.  Including the communal areas and walkways, where children play and it is vastly overgrown and boggy which could be hazardous

1. We state that we have not received sufficient evidence of maintainance over the last two years, despite our commitment to regular maintenance payments

2. We do not wish the gardens at the front of our homes to be removed, where updated, we take pride in these areas personally and ask they remain

3. Areas of the estate need serious garden maintenance where not updated, we request that this is resolved

Please do not remove our gardens, they are still low maintenance gardens, just different styles and foliage.

We look forward to being adopted by Bracknell Forest Council.

Please hear us!!!!
