On September 11, 2021, 3 month old Apolline Mong-Guillemin was suddenly killed, by a speeding car travelling the wrong way, up a small one-way street in Ft. Greene.

Hon. Renee Collymore and The Vanderbilt Avenue Block Association is asking for support to name the garden at the corner of Vanderbilt Avenue bet Gates Avenue and Fulton Street to be named "Apolline's Garden" In addition, we ask for the closure of Gates Avenue between Vanderbilt Avenue and Fulton Street, in order to add more plants, flowers, trees and cobblestone to remember the peaceful soul of Baby Apolline.
