Ensure That Little Man's Attacker Is Declared Vicious

On Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 1:00 PM, a hearing is scheduled for an appeal by the owners of the dog who attacked and mauled Little Man, to not have their dog declared vicious.  With such short notice given to myself of this appending hearing, and the time of the hearing, I have been asked to start a petition to support said dog being declared vicious. Being declared vicious does not mean the dog would be euthanized, there would have strict rules the owners would have to follow and ensure.

As per the CPO, it is now up to the community to make their wants and needs known to said committee.  I have had to move away from the area due to the trauma it has caused myself and Little Man.  I do not want what has happened to us to happen to a 3rd, 4th or any other dog's and their owners.  Below is the notice that was sent to me on Wednesday, February 26, 2020:

TAKE NOTICE THAT the following Vicious Dog Appeal by  and , will be heard at a Hearing in City Hall, Council Chambers, commencing at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020.
The Municipal Council of the City of Medicine Hat has appointed a Committee under section 27(4) of City Bylaw #3935, to hear appeals challenging the issuance of a Vicious Dog Declaration by the Superintendent in charge of Municipal Bylaw Enforcement.
• Any person who claims to be affected by the declaration may attend the meeting to discuss, support, object to or ask questions about the appeal. Oral submissions are normally limited to five (5) minutes.
• Written/electronic submissions regarding the above appeal will be accepted and placed before the Committee.
• All documents must be received by the undersigned by 4:30 pm, Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the above address. Please note all documents submitted will be treated as public documents.
• If you wish to inspect any other documentation on file with regard to this matter, you may do so by attending at the City Clerk Department, 3rd Floor, City Hall between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
