Forests around the world are under threat. Locally, an area of five wooded acres is at risk of being rezoned for a multi-family, multi-home subdivision. 

As background, realtor Bruce La Ha & Midwest Property Development LLC propose to cut down five acres to put up duplexes. This would have a negative impact on the Country Woods subdivision, the Cypress Pointe subdivision, and the homes off of 151st & Will Cook Road. This area is a flood zone, so removing trees (which prevent erosion) and adding more concrete to the area would be dangerous to our existing homes.

We should listen to Dr. Seuss's character the Lorax, who speaks for the trees: "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not."
