Opposition to Farragut Town Center Apartment Complex

Opposition to Farragut Town Center Apartment Complex
The Issue
The Farragut Board of Mayor and Aldermen have revised the Town Center development proposal to allow for the construction of separate APARTMENT buildings (~300 apartments) instead of combined mixed use (business/residential) structures. This effectively will make our new Town Center consist of the equivalent of one very large apartment complex with two nearby strip malls! We feel that this is contrary to what the residents of Farragut envisioned this development to be, and in opposition to what the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) proposed. Please help us in opposing this development. This is contrary to what was originally presented to our residents and will create significant traffic congestion for all who live, travel through, or do business in Farragut. This will also increase the student population in our already overcrowded schools. It is important that YOUR voice be heard! WE DESERVE BETTER!
