Urge Cobb County Commissioners to update tethering and animal welfare ordinances

Urge Cobb County Commissioners to update tethering and animal welfare ordinances
The Issue
The current ordinances allow for residents of Cobb County to leave a dog tied to a 10ft. tether 24/7/365, without minimum shelter requirements or guidelines for extreme temperatures. Please sign to urge the commissioners to update the archaic guidelines to reflect more humane treatment of pet dogs. It is not a requirement to own a dog, but there should be guidelines that do not allow abuse. Updated guidelines would allow animal control and local police to get involved when an animal is being neglected or abused via their living conditions.
