Our town has been made aware of a permit request to build an apartment complex behind the Food Lion. 130+ acres to be developed and us citizens need to show our disapproval. A development meeting was scheduled for the beginning of October and many of us had planned to attend to speak our concerns. This meeting has been postponed until November so we fear our voices will not be heard so we have decided to take action and start this petition. Our town is already extremely overcrowded and our schools cannot handle a huge development such as this proposed complex.
