Staff were outraged today when they found out that even if they have direct deposit set up for their paychecks to be deposited into their bank accounts automatically, the company sent out a notice letting staff know that everyone would have to be paid via paper checks in the upcoming pay cycle. Many staff members who are use to receiving their checks in their accounts days ahead of payday were angry because this would make some of their scheduled bills late. This raises questions and concerns as to what is going on financially with the company. Are the lights barely being kept on at this point? Is it time to dissolve the company, rename, and reinvent themselves as they have done before? Online sources report ALG senior living having millions of debt in defaulted loans. Current staff reported more frequent visits by investors. What do you guys think? Where is your money going? Usually If a business faces a tight cash-flow week, issuing physical checks can provide a necessary 2-3 day "float" before the funds actually clear from the company's account. Years ago when the company did business under the name Affinity Living Group, it came a time when Walmart nor any other check cashing places would cash their payroll checks after employees payroll checks begin to bounce. Many places to this day still will not cash ALG senior living payroll checks for the same reason.
