I, a passionate gamer from Colombo, Sri Lanka, have been unjustly placed at the bottom of the leaderboard after merely three losses. This is not just my personal story but a shared experience of many gamers who are victims of an unfair Matchmaking Rating (MMR) system. The current MMR system does not reflect our skills or efforts accurately and instead penalizes us disproportionately for each loss.

According to a study by the University of Southern California's GamePipe Laboratory, an effective MMR system should consider multiple factors such as individual performance and team contribution rather than solely focusing on wins or losses. Unfortunately, our current system fails to incorporate these aspects leading to skewed leaderboards and frustrated players.
