The newly proposed $5 note is so ugly anyone with an ounce of taste will have to resort to only using combinations of the $1 and $2 coins come 1 September 2016.

The purple/yellow monster ugliness particularly affects poor people because we are the ones having to use the $5 note the most, while the 1% enjoy the green and gold of the better designed $50 and $100 note. Also the Queen is 89 years old. Where are her wrinkles and grey hair? Is the RBA ageist? 

Australia can do better.

We are calling for the RBA to halt production and start a $5 note design competition instead so people on Twitter with plenty of time on their hands can generate something much more fabulous that our Country deserves.
