Reservation only till Class 12 — From Graduation Onwards, Merit for All

Reservation only till Class 12 — From Graduation Onwards, Merit for All
The Issue
Every child in India deserves support in school—but dreams should be earned.
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC was meant to uplift historically oppressed communities. We agree it should provide free education, healthcare, and mid-day meals until Class 12. But by that stage, the playing field is (mostly) leveled.
Continuing reservation for college, postgraduate studies, Ph.D., and jobs tilts the field unfairly — while poor General/EWS category students struggle with full fees, no subsidies, and no safety net. This isn’t equality. This is multi-stage privilege.
We demand:
- Reservation benefits (tuition waivers, coaching, immunity from cutoff heights) only until Class 12.
- From Graduation onwards, pure merit-based admissions — open and equal for all.
- Scholarships, fee waivers, and economic support for students from low-income families — regardless of caste.
- Reservation should only be allowed where selection or promotion involves subjectivity (like interviews), but not in objective exams or strictly merit-based promotions.
Join us if you believe in true merit, equal opportunity, and fairness for every Indian student.
