Rescind the unjust suspension of the Donkor family

Rescind the unjust suspension of the Donkor family
The Issue
🌟 TL;DR (What Happened in 30 Seconds)
For 12 years, the Donkor family has coached kids, volunteered endlessly, and uplifted the Harrison Ranch community.
On Dec 8-9, 2025, the CDD suspended the entire family without notice, without presenting evidence, without due process, and without following its own rules.
Police were then called on Michelle — even though she had been told by police she was allowed to be at the courts — and a one-year trespass was issued anyway.
This could happen to any resident if we don’t insist on fairness.
We ask the CDD to immediately reverse these improper actions.
⭐ FULL STORY
For over a decade, the Donkor family has been a beacon of positivity and service within the Harrison Ranch community. Through volunteer work, youth coaching, and their charitable foundation supporting underprivileged children, they have consistently given more than they ever received. Their leadership has transformed the Harrison Ranch tennis courts into spaces of growth, confidence, and connection — enriching the lives of countless residents.
Despite their contributions, the Donkor family is now facing severe and unwarranted sanctions with emotional, financial, and personal consequences.
On December 8, 2025, the Board of the Harrison Ranch Community Development District imposed a 30-day suspension on the Donkor family. The following day, December 9, 2025, Michelle Donkor received a one-year trespass warning. These actions were taken without providing notice, without citing any rule violation, without presenting evidence, without offering due process, and without following the District’s own Amenity Rules. No family in our community should ever be sanctioned in this way.
⭐ What happened on December 9 — and why it matters
Michelle went to the tennis courts after police had previously confirmed she was permitted to be there, because no written suspension had ever been issued.
Despite this:
• District staff contacted law enforcement at the direction of District leadership,
• Police responded to the District’s request, and
• Police issued a one-year trespass warning at the District’s request — even though Michelle had never been given notice, never been cited for any rule violation, and could not possibly violate a suspension she never received.
This extraordinary escalation, taken without due process, has caused fear, distress, and confusion — and exposes any resident to similar treatment if rules are not followed consistently, transparently, and lawfully.
This improper escalation also cut off essential coaching income the Donkor family relies on, compounding the emotional and personal harm caused by actions taken without notice or due process.
⭐ A Breakdown of Community Trust
These actions were taken:
- Without written notice
- Without citing a rule violation
- Without evidence being presented
- Without any written appeal process information
- Without following the District’s own procedures
- This breach has shaken confidence in how residents are treated and how disciplinary decisions are made.
The Donkors have served this community for 12 years.
They deserve fairness — not unexplained punishments.
📣 We call on the CDD Board to immediately:
Rescind the 30-day suspension imposed on December 8, 2025.
Restore the Donkor family’s amenity access immediately.
Rescind the improper one-year trespass warning issued to Michelle Donkor on December 9, 2025.
Ensure that no future suspension or trespass occurs without full compliance with the Amenity Rules, written notice, evidentiary standards, and due process.
🧡 Why this matters for all of Harrison Ranch
This petition is not only about what happened to the Donkors.
It is about fairness, trust, and protecting the rights of every resident.
Every family should feel confident that:
Rules are applied consistently
Evidence matters
Notice is provided
Due process is respected
No one is punished arbitrarily
Our community deserves transparency, fairness, and a system that treats all residents with dignity.
