I am a dedicated fan of both Girls Aloud and Taylor Swift. On Saturday, 8th June 2024, I find myself in a predicament that many other fans may also be facing. Girls Aloud are scheduled to play their only Glasgow date at the OVO Hydro on the same day that Taylor Swift is performing at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh. This unfortunate scheduling forces fans like me to choose between two beloved artists.

This is not just about one fan's dilemma; it's an issue affecting potentially thousands of music lovers who follow both these iconic acts. According to Statista, as of 2020, Taylor Swift has over 75 million followers on Spotify while Girls Aloud has over half a million monthly listeners (source: Statista). It's reasonable to assume there could be significant overlap among these fan bases.

We believe it would be beneficial for all parties involved - the artists, the venues and most importantly, the fans - if this scheduling conflict could be resolved by rescheduling one of these events.
