Students of Ames High are concerned with the current date of the 2025 Ames High Prom because of numerous scheduling conflicts that interfere with students' abilities to attend the event.

The current prom date is set to April 26, 2025. The International Career Development Conference in Orlando, FL for DECA students and the Drake Relays for the Ames High Track team take place on the same day prom is scheduled. Students have to decide between 2 important events and are petitioning to change the date of prom. Please use this petition as a way to advocate for those students, especially seniors who have to choose between the clubs and sports in which they are a part of or their senior prom.
