Requiring all school athletic physical exams include the ACL tear blood test for students
Requiring all school athletic physical exams include the ACL tear blood test for students
The Issue
With musculoskeletal injuries plaguing youth sports with girls far more susceptible to them than boys, it would be deemed logical for school programs to better protect athletes' bodies from preventable injuries. That they refuse doing so is why this author is putting forth a petition for change.
Of all musculoskeletal injuries, the most prolific and life altering injury is known as tearing one's Anterior Cruciate Ligament or ACL. With girls more likely to experience them, hidden from the public is not only the extent of the injury rates nationwide, but the open collusion to deny the American public knowing the truth about what's happening to our children.
Introducing the problem starts with how the medical insurance industry defines an ACL tear. That they describe ACL tears as an "Overuse," injury, then somethings wrong with that reality. This author understands such description for any older adult or professional athlete. But how exactly does a 13yr old child "Overuse," their knees? That's not overuse, that's misuse. And with adults laughing about what's happening to our nation's youth legally defines "training," for them as nothing more than torture.
Currently, studies document approximately 200,000 children every year will incur an ACL tear in this country and a number growing exponentially for two decades at a rate of 2.3% every year in our nation's pediatric population. That's over 500 every day. And those responsible refuse altering the training methods which cause them.
If a food ingredient were to cause this level of damage in our nation's children, how long would it stay on the market? Let alone be a number our national media refuses to acknowledge.
Our children aren't participating in youth sports; they're unknowing victims of a medical scheme which nobody in sports, athletic training, or this nation's media sources are willing to tell the truth to either athletes or parents about what's really happening and who's profiting from it unethically.
If the question stands, do all athletes have unbiased access to the training methodologies and medical tools necessary to make the best decisions to protect themselves from incurring life altering musculoskeletal injuries? Then the answer is pathetically and unequivocally no.
This author, with proof, is accusing the four largest athletic training schools, being The American Council on Exercise, The National Academy of Sports Medicine, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association to be in open collusion to deny athletes access to training routines which compete with their monopoly of education overseeing public health and athletic training for youth sports participation.
Also included in list of injury perpetrators at a national level is US Youth Soccer. As a "nonprofit," organization, it would be hoped their leadership would do everything possible for this nation's children to protect their health. That they couldn't care any less about this national horror story or health of anyone wanting to play the sport is the sadistic reality few comprehend possible.
This author is also accusing the above schools of knowingly, willingly, and purposefully promoting musculoskeletal injuries in children with media assistance to scare the public into believing what they sell as preventative education will protect them from incurring them. Reality couldn't be further from the truth. These groups, while holding public trust, are abusing it without remorse.
Denied in learning, the American public has no clue the above schools are willingly promoting ACL tears rather than integrate a training program which competes with the fraud they're selling to an unsuspecting public. In collusion, they're refusing athletes access to a training science, known as Biomimetics, to protect their educational monopolies.
What athletes and parents are denied by the above schools is the refused acknowledgement or testing (if they ever could discredit this author's claims) the benefits of training biomimetically. These nonprofit organizations willingly do so in knowing any athlete would be able to significantly reduce their risks of incurring musculoskeletal injuries. Training biomimetically is already a world competition winning training program which competes with the fraud they teach.
To deny in any court the legal means to prove the training fraud perpetuated by the athletic training and medical industry, this author is putting forth the knowledge that in addition to denying better ACL tear prevention training programs specifically, the above schools and medical industry are willingly refusing to acknowledge that a blood test specifically created to monitor the heath of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament prior to tearing it has been publicly available since 2008.
It should repulse anyone, that its available to horses but not humans, which is why this author refers to the medical industry denying the acknowledgement of the blood test as backdrop to their "Torture for Profit," scheme to inflate their income from the bodies of the unknowing youth athletes in America and around the world.
In fact, the only athletic program to even try using the blood test is the Army's West Point Military Academy That their graduates go on to military careers is how the above schools are able to prevent our nation's athlete population from learning about the test's availability.
The above video was made in cooperation with the medical command of the Army's 75th Ranger Regiment. It shows how a 90-degree directional change or cutting maneuver can be executed with no measurable torque load to an athlete or warfighter's knee at all being readily possible.
Formal testing by the Army of biomimetic training was terminated upon the orders of both military leaders and the NSCA to refuse anyone learning a competitive training program to the fraud the NSCA sells the public as legitimate or effective.
Currently, no exercise model promoted by the above schools can prove in studies to reduce ACL torque loads to any athlete or warfighter. If majority of ACL tears occur with athletes away from the ball and merely trying to stop and change direction, while the above schools readily sell athletes their abilities to teach athletes to be faster or quicker, why do they refuse teaching any athlete how to stop?
For this author such decisions are in analogy to adding horsepower to any car yet refusing to improve the brakes as well. How can anyone not expect to crash?
There is no science in exercise science.
For US Youth Soccer their leadership not only refuses to promote better training models than those sold by the NSCA but have sold training oversight of their programs to a hospital specializing in ACL tear surgeries. With their own website acknowledging absolutely no interest in researching preventative training for ACL tears, this author openly questions why this relationship has never been examined for the conflict of interest it clearly is.
Especially if its director on a national television platform refuses to acknowledge availability of the ACL tear blood test, as well as promoting training exercises already available with no studies documenting their effectiveness, should be an outrage to anyone. Sadly, he's more than willing to brag about the one million dollars over their lifetime in additional medical expenses an ACL tear victim will endure, is a result of their controlling US Youth Soccer. That omission alone should tell anyone their relationship is pathetically unethical.
Our nation's children don't stand a chance against such financial profit interests. If an ounce of prevention is worth more than the proverbial pound of cure, how a blood test costing but few dollars in contrast to the one million dollars in lifetime expense of incurring an ACL tear, why no parents of a child participating in youth sports are aware of the test is from this authors perspective is unconscionable.
Therefore, with an athletic training industry clearly keeping the public in the dark about youth ACL tear risks, this author is requesting your vote to mandate against the will of those profiting from the injury to require the ACL tear blood test be mandatory for every child's school sports participation in this country.
If nobody who profits from ACL tears will protect this nation's children from their sadism, who besides you will?
Will you help me change that reality and make youth sports something to enjoy participating in, rather than fearing a life of misery, future pain, and preventable financial expense.
