The Issue

Earlier today, I got an email saying my channel was demonetized for what YouTube called misleading family content. I make funny, entertaining, and sometimes relatable storytime animations, and I have always marked my videos not for kids and even added disclaimers. Then I was told I supposedly attracted young minors while including mature themes, but nobody told me which videos were the problem or what I was supposed to fix. That is not just frustrating. It is impossible to respond to.

This does not only affect me. I know I am not the only creator going through this, and people have been sharing their stories across platforms because silence gets us nowhere. When creators lose monetization without warning, without evidence, and without clear guidance, we lose income, stability, and trust in the system. For creators like me, that money is not extra spending money. It is how we pay for school, keep creating, and try to build a future.

I am calling on YouTube to require real transparency in every demonetization decision. If a channel is removed from the program, creators should be told exactly which videos triggered the decision, what policy was supposedly violated, and what specific changes are needed to be reconsidered. A platform this big should not be allowed to make life-changing decisions through vague accusations and automated-sounding messages that leave people guessing.

I put real time, real passion, and real money into my work because art is my passion and I am trying to make a change in the animation community. No creator should be left in the dark while their income disappears overnight. If you believe creators deserve clear answers and a fair chance to respond, please sign and share.
