Require the City of Miramar to install noise reduction barrier walls on Pembroke & Dykes R

The Issue

Living directly on Pembroke Road in the Silvershores community has become increasingly challenging due to the incessant noise from the busy road that leads to the hospital. The road, which has seen an increase in traffic and loud vehicles over the years, disrupts the peace and enjoyment of our homes. As residents, we endure constant noise from emergency vehicles, cars with loud exhausts, and the non-stop flow of traffic. Many of us, myself included, find it almost impossible to spend time outside in our own backyards, let alone entertain guests, because of the overwhelming noise pollution.

The residents of Silvershores deserve to enjoy their homes without the constant disruption of loud traffic noise. According to numerous studies, excessive noise can lead to serious health issues, including stress, sleep disturbances, and even cardiovascular problems (World Health Organization). This is why noise reduction barrier walls are crucial in protecting our well-being and improving our quality of life. Our community urgently needs the installation of these barriers along Dykes and Pembroke Road.

By implementing noise reduction walls, we can significantly reduce the impact of traffic noise, creating a more serene and livable environment for all residents. Many communities facing similar issues have successfully mitigated noise pollution through these barriers, proving their effectiveness in urban areas.

We are calling on the city of Miramar to prioritize the well-being of its residents by constructing these noise reduction barriers. This is not just a matter of comfort, but a necessity for the health and happiness of our community.

Please sign this petition to ensure that the voices of Silvershores residents are heard and that we can reclaim the tranquility of our homes and neighborhoods. Together, we can make a change.
