Require the Browns to sell the Bengals

The Issue

Having been a Bengals fan since I could remember, I have witnessed all too closely the chronic mismanagement that has plagued our beloved team. I have watched as promising quarterback eras of Palmer, Dalton, and now Joe Burrow were marred by injuries at times when we were on the brink of greatness. Each time, the front office failed to take the necessary initiative to improve and protect the team. This recurring cycle has been a bitter pill to swallow for lifelong fans.

Throughout the years, despite reaching multiple Super Bowls, the Cincinnati Bengals have consistently fallen short under the current ownership. This is not merely an issue of luck or circumstance; since 2012, there has been a stark decline in our ability to retain and develop talent essential to pushing the team over the championship hump. It is time for substantial change, and it begins at the top with new ownership and leadership.

The current ownership has proven incapable of building a sustainable winning culture and adequately protecting our franchise quarterback, Joe Burrow. The potential injury risks to Burrow are simply too high under the status quo, and without change, the bright future we envision is at risk of never coming to fruition.

We need a new General Manager and a new ownership group that prioritizes player health, invests wisely in team improvements, and holds a genuine commitment to leading the Bengals to a Super Bowl victory. The passion and loyalty of Bengals fans deserve better than what we have received over the past decades.

I urge NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and relevant stakeholders to mandate the Browns' family to sell the Bengals. This change is pivotal in safeguarding Joe Burrow's future and giving the Bengals a fair chance at true competitiveness, both now and in the future.

Sign this petition if you believe it's time for a new era in Bengals football—an era where winning isn't just a hope, but a sustainable reality. Let's give Joe Burrow and the Bengals the support they need to achieve greatness!
