Living on the East Side of Lancaster Township, we have always enjoyed a peaceful and safe neighborhood. However, this tranquility is often disrupted when students from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology arrive. They park illegally, drive recklessly, and pose a threat to our safety and quality of life.

Thaddeus Stevens College has seen significant growth in recent years. With this growth comes an increased responsibility to ensure the safety not only of their students but also the surrounding community. Currently, security at the college is outsourced; however, it's clear that this approach is insufficient in managing student behavior effectively.

The need for an established campus police force at Thaddeus Stevens College has become increasingly apparent due to these ongoing issues. A dedicated force would be better equipped to manage student behavior effectively while ensuring our neighborhood remains safe for all residents. 

By requiring Thaddeus Stevens College to establish its own campus police force, we can help foster a safer environment for both residents and students alike. It's time for us all in Lancaster Township - residents, students, educators - to take action towards ensuring our shared safety.
