Require all schools in the Republic of Ireland to make Friday and Monday part of the school weekend so students have 4 days off every week. I believe if students had 4 days off school every week it would benefit there mental health and also improve there academic performance overall as it would put less pressure on them. The stresses of being a student can be challenging especially for secondary schoolers that’s why I believe students should have 4 days a week just to relax and wind down. It has been proven by some schools in other countries e.g. 24 states in the USA. that shorter school weeks benefit the mental health of students. The fact is if Ireland had a 3 day school week it is more then likely the academic success of students would shoot up
