Require NJ pet grooming salons to pass a basic safety exam.

Require NJ pet grooming salons to pass a basic safety exam.
The Issue
There are no requirements in New Jersey as to who can open a pet salon. As a salon owner myself, I pride myself on education and safety. Every day I hear horror stories from new clients about other salons who are not providing safe environments or safe services to our pets. Not only this a terrifying situation for pet owners, but these cases also discourage trust in pet professionals. Many safety assurances have been proposed in the past, but none of them have been easy to implement. I believe a basic safety test with printable grade being displayed in the salon can give pet owners a look into the knowledge of their groomer. Well also providing mandatory safety refresh for salon owners.
I am suggesting salon owners be tested on:
Basic pet toxicity
Proper cleaning and sanitation protocols
Basic safety and pet distancing
Which medication groomers can administer (the answer is none)
What correction tools are allowed within a salon (no zap collars, no hitting, no prong collars etc. )
.
