CTE is found in athletes who play contact sports such as football players. CTE can only be confirmed once a person dies. MRI testing could help with seeing CTE earlier. CTE has been found in 99% of former NFL players brains. Getting MRI testing for CTE in football players at all levels, we could  improve player safety. This kind of mandated regular testing could change how we handle brain injuries in sports, saving lives of young athletes. If you remember Aaron Hernandez he suffered the most severe case of CTE ever discovered in a person his age. Aaron Hernandez killed himself in prison. Even in high school highschool linemen receive about 1500-1800 subconcussive hits every season. The NFL and high school sports teams have gone to great lengths to protect players but there is not much a helmet can do against brain injuries.
