Require Meta to Provide Human Review for Disabled Accounts
The Issue
I am beyond frustrated. Instagram deactivated all of my accounts, and we are not talking about some brand-new page I made last week. I mean years of my life, memories going back to high school, reels I loved, and pieces of my history that are just suddenly gone. What makes it even worse is that I have tried everything I can think of, and I still cannot get to an actual person. I am sitting here talking to a robot while my accounts stay disabled.
This is not just happening to me, and that is the problem. When a platform is this big, people use it to save memories, stay in touch, build communities, and in some cases even support their work. Losing access without a clear explanation or a real conversation leaves people feeling helpless. No one should have years of photos, videos, messages, and connections taken away and then be forced into an endless loop of automated replies.
Meta needs to create a real human review process for disabled Instagram and Facebook accounts. If an account is removed or disabled, users should be able to submit an appeal and hear back from a real person who can explain what happened and what steps they can take next. A company this large should not be impossible to reach when it makes a decision that affects so much of someone's digital life.
If this has happened to you, or if you believe basic customer support should exist for something this important, please sign. I am speaking up because I know I am not the only one yelling into the void right now. Help push Meta to stop hiding behind automation and give people a real chance to get their accounts back.
