The growing influence of multinational corporations on personal choices has reached a worrying point. Being an avid gamer and a passionate supporter of independent game developers, I was shocked when I discovered that games were being removed from Steam, due to pressure from major financial institutions like Mastercard and Visa via lobbying from Collective Shout. I believe this kind of intervention is wrong as it restricts our freedom as individuals to make our choices about where we want to spend our money on products that primarily affect only the purchaser.



this incident only reignites my concerns. as, Collective Shout also impacted games like Detroit, Become Human and  Grand Theft Auto V

what Collective shout is doing is unjust censorship rather than consumer protection, a slippery slope for all digital content. it is important we collectively shout against Collective Shout for meddling in our games
