The Issue

In the small and vibrant community of Indian Hills, Colorado, many residents face a significant challenge with the current postal system. Despite having physical mail addresses, all residents are required to have a P.O. Box for their correspondence. Unfortunately, the Indian Hills post office does not automatically forward mail sent to physical addresses to these P.O. Boxes, leaving residents in a difficult position.

Many mail senders, like government agencies, businesses, and personal contacts, default to using a physical address. Residents often find they cannot control how things are addressed, leading to missed letters, packages, and critical information. This is not only inconvenient but may result in late bill payments, missed opportunities, and delayed responses to urgent matters.

We deeply appreciate and value our hard-working postal employees, who strive to serve our community effectively, yet they are restricted by systemic rules that fail to accommodate our unique local circumstances. Forwarding mail to P.O. Boxes would enhance efficiency, reduce the risk of lost or delayed mail, and ultimately support the consistent delivery of necessary and time-sensitive items.

We urge the United States Postal Service to implement a policy where all mail addressed to physical addresses within Indian Hills is automatically forwarded to the residents' respective P.O. Boxes. This change is critical for the continuity and reliability of our community's postal service, especially in this increasingly digital world.

Your support could make a significant difference in addressing this pressing issue. Please sign this petition to help ensure every resident in Indian Hills, Colorado receives their mail timely and efficiently.
