I have been compiling this data on my website (icemsg.org) to help people "have the tools" they were promised but were not delivered to assess their risk of COVID in their state and metro areas. Since the CDC lifted the mandatory reporting requirements, it has become increasingly difficult for individuals to access crucial information about COVID-19 cases, hospital bed utilization, and other related metrics. This lack of transparency hinders our ability to make informed decisions about our health and safety.

Accurate and timely data is essential for public awareness and preparedness. Before the CDC's policy change, consistent reporting helped communities understand local risks and healthcare capacities. We need hospitals to resume providing this critical information so that we can continue protecting ourselves and our loved ones.
