At the public exhibition for the proposed Greystoke development, I asked directly about parking.
The response given was that no on-site parking is proposed.
Underground parking was also described as not being considered, due to cost and the loss of floor space. It was explained that residents would be expected to walk, cycle, or use public transport.
This raises important planning questions for the local area, including:
• Where overspill parking would go
• How nearby residential streets would be protected
• How servicing, deliveries, and visitors would be managed
• How pedestrian safety would be maintained near busy roads and the station
At this stage, this petition is not opposing development.
It is asking for clear, published evidence on traffic, access, and parking impact before any planning approval is considered.
When a planning application is submitted, residents will be able to submit formal comments directly to Ealing Council.
