My mom is over here throwing up from tooth pain, and I would not wish this on anybody. We are trying to get antibiotics and lidocaine just to get her through it, because the pain is that bad. I said it in my video and I mean it: tooth pain is one of the worst pains I have ever experienced myself, and my mom has too. Nobody should be left suffering like this while they scramble to figure out what their insurance will actually cover.

This is bigger than my family. In Florida, too many people are in real pain and still cannot get treated because dental care is so expensive, not a lot of places take their insurance, and it is hard to get better coverage. People end up waiting, suffering, getting sicker, and relying on temporary fixes when they need actual dental treatment. When pain gets this severe, it stops being a small problem and becomes a health crisis for regular families.

That is why I am asking Florida insurance regulators and lawmakers to require affordable emergency dental coverage that people can really use. Coverage needs to include urgent visits for severe tooth pain and infections, and it needs to be accepted by enough dental offices that families are not calling around in desperation. Insurance should mean access to care, not a piece of paper that still leaves you stuck when you need help most.

I am speaking up because my mom should not have to go through this, and neither should anybody else's.
