Require evidence be submitted in family court

The Issue

In many family court cases, including my own, allegations are often treated as fact without the necessary evidence to support them. This lack of due process has resulted in unjust outcomes, including my own, where hearsay was used against me with no opportunity for me to prove my innocence. The close relationships between public defenders and county attorneys further exacerbate this issue, leaving individuals like myself vulnerable to miscarriages of justice.

Family courts should be a place where truth and justice prevail, and for this to happen, it's crucial to mandate the submission of evidence when allegations are made. Without concrete evidence being required, the courts risk making life-altering decisions based on unverified claims, severely impacting the lives of the innocent parties involved, such as in my case.

The current process fails to protect the rights of individuals presumed innocent until proven guilty. By allowing hearsay to influence life-altering decisions, the system fails to deliver fair and impartial judgments.

It's time we call for a reform that insists on the presentation of actual evidence to support any allegations made during family court proceedings. This change would not only ensure a fairer justice system but also restore trust in the institutions meant to protect us. Implementing these reforms would safeguard against wrongful accusations and ensure that every individual has a fair chance to defend themselves.

Join me in advocating for a reformed judicial process in family courts that requires evidence to substantiate claims. Sign the petition to demand fairness and justice for all individuals trapped in the system. Lets help Reform justice ⚖️ and become united again
