The Issue

I keep coming back to how wrong it feels that people can watch harm, shrug, and move on like it is normal. That is what this brings up for me: justice is not supposed to be a hashtag we throw under a post and forget about. If we are naming crime and calling for justice, then we need the institution closest to this harm to take it seriously and act.

This matters beyond one moment or one person. When students do not feel safe, when women are left to carry fear or humiliation on their own, and when a campus culture teaches people to look away, the damage spreads fast. It affects who speaks up, who feels protected, and who believes reporting anything will even matter.

That is why I am calling on Cornell to investigate gender-based harassment and any related misconduct connected to what students are raising, communicate clearly about reporting and support options, and strengthen protections for the people most affected. Cornell should not wait for outrage to pass. The university has the power to examine what happened, respond through the proper channels, and make sure students know their safety and dignity are not optional.

If you believe justice has to mean more than words, please sign this petition. Sign if you believe women on campus deserve to be heard, protected, and taken seriously. Sign if you want Cornell to respond with action instead of silence.
