Require compliance with CYGAMES community guidelines for Umamusume content
The Issue
I've watched with increasing concern as individuals create secondary content related to Umamusume that blatantly disregards the CYGAMES community guidelines. These creations, ranging from animated videos to comic strips and artwork, often depict the characters engaging in borderline sexual acts, suicide, and other unsettling situations. This not only harms the image of the horses they are meant to represent but also poses a risk to the well-being of the community, where some members may be vulnerable and potentially driven to self-harm upon exposure to such objectionable material.
The issue extends beyond mere artistic expression; it touches upon the very real implications for the horses' reputations, which are intrinsically linked to the Umamusume characters. Just as individuals are protected from character defamation in various legal systems, these horses—symbolized through their virtual counterparts—should also receive such safeguarding, especially from NSFW and obscene secondary content.
These creations often find a home on various online platforms and applications, indicating a failure not just on the part of the creators, but also the hosting sites lacking in regulation. This lack of oversight has led to a proliferation of derogatory content that could tarnish the heritage and image of the horses in real life.
Our appeal isn't an attack on creative freedom but a plea for responsible artistry that respects the community's guidelines. We urge CYGAMES and relevant authorities to implement stricter policies that enforce compliance with these guidelines by individuals and companies alike. This should include enhanced moderation by content-hosting platforms to identify, review, and remove any content that breaches this standard.
By supporting this petition, you contribute towards creating a safe and respectful environment for the Umamusume community and help preserve the dignity of the horses they represent. Your signature can lead to meaningful change, advocating for the rightful protection these beloved animals deserve in the digital realm. Please sign this petition to support our cause.
