The Issue

I live in Littleport and regularly drive the A10 to Ely with my son for school activities, shopping, and work, as do thousands of other residents. The section of road between the A10 Wisbech Road junction in Littleport and the A10 Downham Road Ely Leisure Village junction is now in dangerous condition.

Potholes and uneven surfaces are causing vehicles to swerve, motorcyclists to move into traffic, and buses and HGVs to brake sharply. This creates avoidable risks for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.

This stretch of the A10 is an important route for families, commuters, local businesses, school transport, and emergency services. It should be maintained to a proper standard.

We are asking Cambridgeshire County Council to:

  1. Inspect this section of the A10
  2. Publish a repair timetable
  3. Prioritise full resurfacing where required

Safe infrastructure supports the whole Littleport and Ely community.

Residents are willing to provide photos and defect locations to assist highways officers.

This route connects Littleport to Ely, Cambridge, local schools, is a hospital route and is used daily by thousands of residents.
