Single-use plastics pose a significant environmental hazard; they account for the majority of the 300 million tons of plastic produced annually, of which at least 8 million tons end up in our oceans every year. By requiring all coffee shops, gas stations, breweries, fast-food restaurants, and wineries to offer a 10% discount to customers who bring in reusable tumblers and other beverage containers, we can encourage sustainable practices at a grassroots level.
