It's sad when to see an elected official sabotage democracy. Cheating is never the way.

Councilman John Forman was caught not just with the sign that was tagged but with 30 ADDITIONAL SIGNS. Coming on the heels of Mr. Forman’s refusal to participate in our candidate forum, this feels kind of like…karma.

Last week Keep Fishkill Beautiful invited all the candidates to participate in a forum where they would have been able to showcase their stand on development and traffic issues. Candidates Albra, Totino, and Przytula quickly accepted despite the short notice. Candidates Wrye, Forman, Dellipaoli all declined the invitation. Wrye and Forman were approached during the last TOF board meeting and rejected the invitation emphatically due to the last minute request. When we offered to change the date to another date or time, and even offered to hold the forum remotely, they were inflexible.

So we ask: how important is honesty and transparency to Fishkill residents?

At this meeting we will also discuss the results of current FOIA requests in regard to the Apartments at Jackson Crossing, and talk about more information that we have learned since we met last week.
