Requesting the Resignation or Removal of Adriana LaGrange as Alberta Health Minister

Requesting the Resignation or Removal of Adriana LaGrange as Alberta Health Minister
The Issue
Update (Feb 2025)
Recent allegations have come to light implicating Adriana Lagrange in an extremely troubling new scandal that alleges what would be the most corrupt actions of any government in Canadian history. It is alleged that Lagrange played a role in not only awarding hundreds of millions of dollars to private healthcare interests, but also that she played an active role in covering up the corruption.
We, the concerned citizens of Red Deer, and Alberta, Canada are calling for the resignation or removal of our MLA, Adriana LaGrange from her role as Alberta Health Minister. The recent events at Red Deer Regional Hospital have highlighted a crisis in our healthcare system. Emergency services were forced to use tarps and duct tape to provide additional waiting room space due to overcrowding and frequent 12+ hour wait times. This is unacceptable and a clear indication that our healthcare system has deteriorated under Ms. LaGrange's leadership.
Since her appointment as Minister, we have seen a marked decline in the quality of healthcare services in Alberta. We believe that new leadership is needed to address these issues and restore confidence in our healthcare system.
Our hospitals are resorting to tarps and duct tape in the face of overwhelmed emergency rooms.
Canada's federal government as announced the intention to roll out a national pharmacare plan. Two days later, Adriana Lagrange revealed that "Alberta intends to opt out", furthering the erosion of public healthcare in favor of *for-profit* models.
   .
If Ms. LaGrange does not voluntarily step down from her position, or she is not removed from the Ministry by Premier Smith, we may pursue further action through Voter Recall legislation which allows voters to remove an elected official from office before their term ends.
We urge all residents of Red Deer, and Alberta who value quality healthcare services to join us in this call for change by signing this petition. today.
