Requesting the CNE to publish the election minutes with the true results @NicolasMaduro
La causa
Venezuelan citizens, representatives of international civil society organizations, journalists, and politicians from democratic countries here signed do not recognize the results issued by the CNE (National Electoral Council) until they publish the scrutiny minutes and the true results of the electoral process held on July 28 in Venezuela.
The published result is not credible and does not correspond to the trend of 40% of the minutes published and the data uploaded to the CNE page before the system crashed.
In addition, we denounce that Art. 337 of the Organic Law of Electoral Processes of Venezuela was not complied with, which establishes that each witness must receive a printed copy of the scrutiny record of the corresponding table, when there were a large number of witnesses of the opposition who were threatened and expelled from the voting centers so that they could not obtain the tally sheet
We take this opportunity to share Electoral Transparency's complaint about the injustices of the electoral process that was marked by illegal disqualifications (including that of María Corina Machado), judicial intervention of political parties, and more than 100 arbitrary arrests within the framework of the elections, which are added to the more than 269 political prisoners reported by the Penal Forum.
Let us remember that due to the crisis in Venezuela, 7,774,494 people have been forced to emigrate since 2014, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), 5 million of whom have faced obstacles to participating in the vote from abroad.
Transparency in electoral processes is essential for the security and progress of any democracy. Therefore, it is essential that election results are reflected accurately and authentically. Venezuelan citizens have the right to know the truth about who is in charge of their country and must be able to trust that elections are fair and free.
We urge the National Electoral Council of Venezuela to publish the minutes with the true results and we invite Nicolás Maduro to recognize the true result of the elections as claimed by several governments in the region.
Please sign the petition and help us have an accessible and transparent Venezuela.
